Dear WiB Community,
Happy New Year, WiB Members!
We hope you had a restful break and are stepping into the new year feeling refreshed, motivated, and ready for what’s ahead. It’s hard to believe, but this semester marks both the start of a brand-new year and the final semester of this academic chapter. Whether you’re counting down to graduation or settling into your routine, this is a powerful moment to reflect on how far you’ve come and to be intentional about how you finish.
This semester, Women in Business is all about connection, confidence, and momentum.
We’re kicking things off with one of our favorite ways to bring our community together, our WiB Social Series. These events are designed to be low-pressure, high-energy spaces to meet new people, reconnect with familiar faces, and remind ourselves that networking can actually be fun. Whether you come with friends or show up solo, you belong here.
We’re also incredibly excited to bring back our WiB Case Competition, with a fresh case and an all-new Case Competition Prep Workshop.
This workshop is built to support you at every level, whether this is your first time touching a case or you’re looking to sharpen your strategy, structure, and confidence before competition day. Case competitions can feel intimidating, but they’re also one of the most valuable ways to build real-world problem-solving skills, teamwork, and presentation experience. Our goal is to make this process as approachable, educational, and empowering as possible.
As we move through this final semester, we encourage you to say yes to opportunities that push you just a little outside your comfort zone. Come to the event you’re unsure about. Talk to someone new. Apply for the role, the internship, or the competition you don’t feel “ready” for yet. Growth rarely comes from waiting until the timing feels perfect.
Thank you for being part of this community and for helping make WiB what it is, a space rooted in ambition, support, and shared success. We can’t wait to see you at our events this month and to finish the year strong, together. Here’s to a new year and a powerful final semester!
With gratitude and excitement,
Emma & Elizabeth
2025-2026 Co-Presidents

Goal Setting for the New Year
As we begin a new year and semester, goal setting can help create direction and motivation. Here are a few tips to help you set meaningful, realistic goals for the months ahead.
Set intentional, realistic goals that align with both your academic priorities and personal values. Goals that are meaningful to you are easier to stay committed to throughout the semester.
Break big goals into smaller, actionable steps to make progress feel manageable. Small wins build momentum and help prevent feeling overwhelmed early on.
Focus on growth, not perfection, especially as routines shift at the start of a new term. Progress comes from learning, adapting, and showing up consistently.
Revisit and adjust your goals throughout the semester as your schedule and priorities evolve. Flexibility allows your goals to stay relevant rather than restrictive.
Celebrate small wins along the way, whether it’s submitting an application or sticking to a routine for a few weeks. Acknowledging progress helps maintain motivation and confidence.
